Those close to the 43-year-old now say Mark has set his sights on a career as a thespian.“This could be the beginning of a whole new chapter in his career," an insider told Britain's The Sun newspaper.
English teacher and organiser of the BBC News School Report Miss Bean said: "Having Mark visit the school gave the students such a great opportunity to experience life as a real journalist – working with high profile interviewees, thinking on the spot and remaining professional on screen.
“I have been working for City as a player and a coach since 1999 and my heart is in the club.
“I am obviously at Droitwich which is going well at the moment.
The 39-year-old, who is joint-manager at Droitwich Spa, insists his heart is in the club and is adamant he can help bring stability and put out a team to be proud of.
“I have been contacted by a few people asking whether I would be interested and it would be a great opportunity for me,” he said.
